Frequently asked questions
Does Chordian train models on my data?
No. In every deployment configuration — Cloud, Private Cloud, and On-Premises — your data is not used to train any Chordian model or any third-party model. Your institutional memory is yours.
What is the difference between Cloud and Private Cloud (BYOC)?
Chordian Cloud runs on Chordian-managed infrastructure with dedicated per-tenant isolation. Private Cloud (BYOC) runs entirely within your own AWS, GCP, or Azure account — Chordian deploys the software, but the infrastructure, the keys, and the data are yours.
Can I deploy Chordian on-premises?
Yes. On-premises deployment — including air-gap configurations — is available on Enterprise contracts for organisations where cloud deployment is not an option.
Is Chordian GDPR compliant?
Yes. Chordian is GDPR compliant. EU region available on Pro and Enterprise plans. Data processing agreements available on request.
How does pricing work for the Pro plan?
Pro is usage-based. You pay for memory capacity, retrieval queries, and Deep Search agent calls. Pricing is discussed during onboarding and scaled to your actual usage.
Can I start on Free and upgrade later?
Yes. Your memory, connectors, and configuration carry forward when you upgrade.
